Update on PCC’s Hukilau Marketplace, nearby hotel

As indicated in the October issue of the Polynesian Cultural Center e-Newsletter, Kealii Haverly, Director of In-Center Marketing, continues to report that several stores in the PCCs new Hukilau Marketplace — which is under construction on the makai (oceanward) side of the Pacific Theater — will open this month…  “…if we receive our occupancy permits in time.” Otherwise, he said, those shops will open as soon as we get the permits.

Haverly said the PCC still plans to hold a grand opening celebration — Polynesian style — for the new Hukilau Marketplace on January 23, 2015. And, FYI, here’s an ultra-wide construction progress shot of the new Courtyard by Marriott Hotel that’s going up just makai (ocean-side) of the PCC’s Samoan and Maori Villages (with Laie Point on the left horizon).
