Return to the Islands of Polynesia!

The Polynesian Cultural Center officially returns to our full-day schedule of services and entertainment on April 26, 2021. This means that our operating hours will expand to 1:00pm – 9:30 pm. Monday – Tuesday and Thursday – Saturday (closed Sundays and Wednesdays plus Christmas and New Years Day). We will once again offer a variety of ticket packages, providing our guests with the options best suited to their interests.

The Polynesian Cultural Center reopened their gates in January, 2021 with limited occupancy by offering an exclusive ticket package with evening hours only and safety features reflecting current COVID-19 distancing standards.

But we are really excited to return to full operation on April 26th!

First stop? Our Island Villages!

Starting on Monday, April 26th, Polynesia returns to  open at 1:00 pm every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday (closed Wednesdays and Sundays). Our guests can spend the afternoon exploring our beautiful Island Villages, each representing a different Polynesian culture. Enjoy the music, dancing, and culture unique to that island, plus participate in hands-on activities such as fishing, spear throwing, ancient games, and crafts. Our Villagers are excited to answer questions and show you some of the amazing aspects of their homeland. There are also displays and exhibits, along with amazing architecture. 

Next, our award winning luau will surround you with Aloha

At 5pm, our Alii Luau welcomes all guests to experience their new luau buffet with live entertainment. We’ve utilized these 9 months to create a wide array of dishes truly fit for ali’i (royalty). We are proud to offer our popular fresh island pig, baked in a traditional ground oven, along with a new seafood station presenting fresh fish caught off our own Hawaiian shores. Other delicious main and side dishes are included, along with an exceptional selection of desserts.

But the improvements don’t stop there. We are excited to introduce our new presentation, “Onipaa”, a tribute to Queen Liliuokalani, the last reigning monarch of Hawaii. Our Queen was known not only for her wit, intelligence and grace – she was also a prolific poet and composer. In fact, she penned the most recognized song from our islands, “Aloha Oe“.

You may want to choose the new Gateway Buffet Restaurant

For those who prefer a more casual setting, you can select the Gateway Package which provides an amazing buffet inside our stunning Gateway Restaurant, the largest dining facility on the island of Oahu, complete with an inspiring 360^o mural which provides a warm Polynesian welcome to all who enter. Our Gateway menu has also been substantially revised, and now offers a beautiful combination of island, Asian and American dishes sure to please everyone in your family. Additionally, we have added musicians who will help set the perfect background to your dinner hour. 

Our guests will end their day enjoying our popular evening show. “HA: Breath of Life”, which has been recognized by a number of awards, returns to the magnificent open air Pacific Theater. HA dazzles with its story, its artistry and its special effects.

Your health and safety comes first!

Rest assured that your health and safety will remain our #1 priority, with expanded services, such as automated hand cleansing stations, physical distancing protection, clearly marked paths and an enhanced cleaning schedule. Additionally, masks will be required throughout the Center as long as state and national standards are in force.

Available activities and presentations after the Center fully reopens will follow all state and national restrictions and advisories. This may require some presentation cancellations, or limited seating. We appreciate your understanding.
