Update on PCC’s Hukilau Marketplace, nearby hotel
The PCC’s new Hukilau Marketplace is on schedule for a soft opening next month, and a grand opening early next year (as shown in the recent aerial photo by PCC senior volunteer Jack Baxter):
“We’re on schedule to open a few stores by the end of November,” said Kealii Haverly, PCC Director of In-Center Marketing, “while the rest of our new Marketplace will open in January 2015.”
“We’ re very happy with the progress of the construction, and we have basically finalized agreements with all our new tenants,” he added. “We will announce the new Marketplace’ s grand opening at a later date.”
Meanwhile, construction work on the new Courtyard by Marriott Hotel adjacent to the Cultural Center is also moving along nicely (photo also by Jack Baxter):
FYI, the light-shaded space on the right of the hotel project is the site of the new Laie McDonald’s.
